A hospital bed, a train or a substation is built for decades. When one of our products is part of it, our customer needs to know that the same product will be available, repairable and supported for as long as they build and service their equipment. The Long-Term Supply Program sets out what we promise.

How We Keep the Promise
Component selection
Parts are chosen from manufacturers' long-life programs wherever possible, and every part with a single source is reviewed every year.
Change notification
Any change that could affect form, fit, function or a customer's qualification is notified at least six months in advance through a product change notice.
Last-time buy
When a key component is discontinued, we buy enough to cover the remaining supply period and repairs, and extend the period where customers ask us to.
Repair after supply ends
Repair and firmware support continue for at least five years after the end of supply (seven years for medical products) at the Kamata Service Center and our overseas service centres.
