Overview
The HS-2200 series is a family of 2U server chassis for equipment makers and operators who need the same system for years: medical imaging and laboratory equipment makers, transport and energy operators, network operators and integrators of edge systems. Every model is supplied for seven years from its launch, and any change to a part that could affect a customer's qualification is notified at least six months in advance.
We supply the chassis on its own, for customers who fit their own boards, or as an integrated system with a Hosaka server board, memory, storage and operating system installed, configured and run under load for 72 hours at our Koriyama Works before shipment. Integrated systems can be shipped with the customer's own asset labels and BIOS settings and registered in their name for on-site service.

Integrated systems are ordered by configuration code (for example HS-2208S-A2); options such as the SL1 module are ordered separately. Your sales representative will provide the code for your configuration.

Options
- SL1 SL1 Service Link module
- A field-removable rear module with its own radio, for units at unattended sites without a management network. It slides into the rear option bay of any HS-2200 or HS-1100 chassis and can be moved between units without tools. The H-BMC reports chassis status and alerts through it to a Hosaka gateway, at ranges of up to several kilometres in built-up areas. While a service session is open, the module transmits a short beacon carrying the service profile name, so that a field engineer can find the unit, and shows the same name on its small status display. Regional versions: SL1-JP (920 MHz), SL1-EU (868 MHz) and SL1-NA (915 MHz). Not recommended for installation in data centres.
- SL1-AX SL1 antenna extension kit
- Low-loss cable in 10 m or 30 m lengths (SL1-AX10, SL1-AX30) with a mast bracket, for mounting the SL1 antenna outside a cabinet or building.
- DC48 −48 V DC power supplies
- Redundant −48 V DC power supplies for telecommunications sites (HS-2208S).
- FA1 Front-access kit
- Brings the board's network and serial ports to the front panel, for cabinets that cannot be reached from the rear (HS-2208S).
- RK2 Slide rail kit
- Tool-less slide rails for racks from 600 to 900 mm deep.
- W5 Five-year warranty
- Extends the standard three-year return-to-base warranty; on-site response options are available in Japan, North America and Europe.
